David has been a business owner-operator and investor for more than 25 years. Today, he serves as both the CEO & Founder of Warschawski, the #1 rated U.S. marketing communications agency, and the Managing Director & Founder of W Ventures.
Warschawski has been named “U.S. Small Agency of the Year” three years in a row and has won more than 200 industry awards for its integrated advertising, marketing and digital communications work. The company holds the prestigious Google Certified Agency Partner designation.
W Ventures is a one-of-a-kind venture capital firm that offers a highly unique approach. Like other VCs, W Ventures writes investment checks in companies that fit its thesis. David is a published author whose works have appeared in numerous publications. He has provided expert commentary for media outlets ranging from CNBC to National Public Radio (NPR), from PBS to Germany’s highly regarded Der Spiegel to New Zealand’s biggest radio station. He authored the book “30 Rules To Live By,” and co-authored the book, “Building Customer Relationships Through Public Relations.” For 15 years, he authored and provided expert commentary on “Advertising’s Winners & Losers of the Super Bowl.”
David has been named a “Most Admired CEO” by The Daily Record and recently was named to their prestigious list of “Most Influential Marylanders.” He also has been named to numerous “40 Under 40” lists and is frequently asked to speak at conferences on subjects involving advertising, marketing and digital communications, as well as on topics about venture capital, entrepreneurship and sports & sports business. He also has served as a professor for the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business.
David is a Board Member of many of the companies in which W Ventures invests and is a Venture Partner to Clarim Ventures. He serves as a Member & Advisor to NexGen Ventures and is a member of 3i. He also has served as a judge for many VC pitch competitions in the U.S. and Canada.

David, a dual U.S. and Swiss citizen, was born in Basel, Switzerland and speaks English, German and Swiss German. He is a Dean’s List graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Studio Arts. In his spare time, David loves to coach and has coached varsity basketball and travel baseball teams.
About The Illustrator
Leah Warschawski is a multi-talented student at the Park School of Baltimore, where she shines both as a visual artist and as a performing artist.
Leah is a dedicated visual artist who excels in many different genres -- from painting to textile art to illustration to stage and set design. She has earned acceptance into and attended numerous prestigious summer art programs including at Brown University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), the Cleveland Institute of Art, the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan, and the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).
In the theater arts, Leah has participated in multiple musical and dramatic productions, often holding leading roles. She regularly helps design and create set pieces for performances and is an active member of Costume Crew where she helps create costumes for shows.
In addition to her visual and performing arts activities, Leah also serves as a photographer for her school newspaper, capturing the spirit of her community through her lens. Whether she’s designing a set, performing under the spotlight, or curating visual stories, Leah approaches each project with passion, vision, and originality.
